North Carolina expired 1971 passenger vehicle license tag, VT-11. Has low production number. In good condition, has some fading to the paint. Has some surface rust to the edges and the back of tag. Please refer to all pictures as description of condition. Tag has no warping or bending.

I believe that this is a custom plate as all standard plates issued in 1971 had six characters (2 letters and 4 numbers). Any history on it?

@cindyrellee Sorry I don't know the exact history other than I've had it for about 20 years or so. Very good possibility that it was my grandpa's who was a Vet in WW2 and Vietnam.
