This dainty little hand painted Nippon tray with lidded trinket jars will add beauty to any area whether it is on the dresser, a stand, or vanity display.
These are rare and hard to find as a complete set.
There are lovely little blue hand painted flowers that are accented with fine gold lines on the rim.
These types of boxes/jars were commonly used for holding small items like jewelry, powder, or other trinkets.
The pieces are marked with the blue Nippon Rising Sun stamp. Nippon porcelain refers to Japanese-made porcelain that was produced and exported between 1891 and 1921.
Measurements:
Powder jar with lid ~ approx. 1 3/4”tall x 2 1/2”wide
Small trinket jar with lid ~ approx. 1 1/4”tall x 1 7/8”wide
Hair/hat pin holder (largest jar) ~ approx. 2 1/2” tall x 2 1/4”wide
Under Tray ~ approx. 6" in diameter
Just a beautiful set! Preowned condition, a small hairline crack on the smallest jar, only seen on the outside, so may just be in the glaze, does not affect use or look of item.
Great addition to your vanity display!
