The scarf feeds into grommets in the back to help lift the brim off the neck. Though tacked at the sides, the bow of the scarf can be untied and slipped out of the grommets to be styled different ways. The brown of the hat is a beautiful natural, mid-tone color. The construction feels well done. This hat was previously owned but I don't see any notable flaws. Beautiful, summery piece. Will be shipped in a box for protection.
