Recently serviced by Blue Moon Camera in Portland, OR. The Nikon F3 is a Legend. Not only was it trusted by the pros, it was also Nikon's longest-running professional camera body, staying in production for a remarkable 21 years—from 1980 to 2001. That kind of longevity is virtually unheard of in modern camera systems and speaks to just how right they got it from the start. This body comes with the original lens paired with it: the astounding 50mm f1.4 Ai (as well as the appropriate Genuine Nikon HN-3 Aluminum lens hood for it). Just the camera and lens paired together retailed for $1,174.90 at the camera's debut in 1980. This kit comes along with the beast of a motor-drive the MD-4, and the 2X teleconverter. The only flaw this camera has is that the light bulb that lights up the F-stop for view through the prism finder is burnt out. I'm sure a camera shop can replace this should you choose to. It never bothered me. Both EXCELLENT bubble lens case and Genuine Leather velvet lined CL-7 lens cases are included. The last pic is a compilation of photos shot with this camera/lens/drive combo using aperture priority on Fujifilm 400 color negative film on May 24, 2025.
