aygee32 @elaih Good morning, thanks for your question, yes, there is a 22 1/2 inch slit on the back, and yes, this is a floor length gown measuring 61 inches from shoulder to hem. Please note there is additional material if you need to lengthen it. I will update a photo to show the slit.
