I will now be implementing a new process for any luxury purchase from my closet. I understand this is not ideal — but with Poshmark pretty much approving all returns despite items being exactly as described I can no longer rely on them to provide the services that I so graciously pay them 20 percent to render. Effective immediately— any luxury item sold by my closet under the $500 threshold(dust bags are excluded from this requirement ) will require approval before you can purchase. I will be tagging these listings and making note so a potential buyer will know. Here are the terms for approval :
⚫️ Previous buyers— you are automatically approved.
⚫️ New buyers— You must have love notes of atleast 10 luxury items.
⚫️ You cannot have a newly created account (IE within the past 6 months)
⚫️ To gain approval if you don’t meet the conditions above you have the option to request an item price be raised to $500 to go to Poshmark HQ.
If you don’t meet any of these criteria— you will not be able to purchase. If any of the above criteria aren’t met and you still buy— I will have to unfortunately cancel the sale. I am a firm believer in following the rules and terms of service— but with Poshmark not following their own terms of service — I need to take matters into my own hands. Poshmark may tolerate abuse of their policies but I will NOT. If you don’t agree— keep scrolling or get blocked. It’s a shame it has to come to this but I refuse to allow it.

Love your rules. I need to implement some as well. And on all platforms. I had someone scam me out of a LV duffel bag valued over $7000. Buyers are making it tough to do good honest business.

@mamaisonbyjr that’s insane! And yes I have a lot of people commenting and messaging me butt hurt— but that lets me know straight away I shouldn’t be doing business with them in the first place. I hate that it comes to this and then when you go to Poshmark— you get a scripted response 🙄

@starbucksandlux 👍 RIGHT! PM is a large corporation/company. Their bottom line is making money. Not seller side biased whatsoever.

@mamaisonbyjr OMG you too!!! I was able to get half my money back, the person i purchased it from, switched my travel bag. I called her out on it, she had the audacity to to tell me,how dare I say, she sold me a fake bags” yes ma’am said what I said.

@hildamari13 I hate that this is the case but it just happened to me again. I didn’t consider Burberry to be luxury but the buyer showed an up close pic of the exact same flaw I pictured and I proved it and Poshmark still let her return. Meanwhile she was a closet full of replicas. SMH.
