@highend2 No problem! I'm glad it was helpful 😄😄

I've had so many issues on here in my short stay. I've spent $3000 since Feb 18th, I'm not a glammer but purchased multiple bags and shoes, but not sure bout any of it. I was able to return a couple things, but I think PM could do better in protecting buyers on smaller purchases as wrll.
Apr 16Reply

tyrannolaurus
@highend2 I'm sorry 😞. I wish the protection extended to smaller amounts, too -- maybe $100? $200? I know that would take more effort on Posh's part, but I feel like I've heard way too many bad stories 😕. I have to admit, I worry about making larger purchases here because of that

@tyrannolaurus Thanks a mill! I'm new and on day on felt so lost with the do's and don'ts so I really, really really appreciate it. Oh btw, did I mention that I really appreciate it lol

@belladoc Of course! It's hard to show up and figure out the unofficial rules here: it definitely took me a little while. Maybe I should put something up about sharing (I kinda have something now, but not as straightforward), since that took me the longest to get the hang of here. Either way, I'm happy to know that this was helpful for you! 😄
Apr 16Reply

tyrannolaurus
@aggie_by_heart @diane060 No problem! I'm just glad people are actually finding this useful! I thought no one would read it, lol 😄
Apr 16Reply

belladoc
@tyrannolaurus Yes this definitely helped! No worries, people like me who like to stay out of trouble tend to stick to the rules :-)
Apr 16Reply

tyrannolaurus
@belladoc That's what made me do this! I'm the same way, lol. Also, I'm hoping this slightly makes up for any faux pas I may have made before I got the hang of this site, lol
Apr 16Reply

tyrannolaurus
@titocat You're welcome! 😄🐱 (Okay, the cat is probably for your name, but I still wanted to put a cat in there, lol)
Apr 16Reply

tyrannolaurus
@titocat LOL, then my first instinct was right! I was just thinking, "LAUREN, not everyone is as fixated on pets as you are. Her name is probably Catherine or something," lmao. I'm sitting on the couch with Tesla right now (the little silver girl in all my cat pictures). She's obsessively watching a bunny outside
Apr 17Reply

belladoc
@tyrannolaurus that's so funny. Happy you got the hang of it all. I will be a pro just like you soon :-)
Apr 17Reply

tyrannolaurus
@titocat Cat people of the world, unite! We have nothing to lose but our minds, I guess 😄
Apr 17Reply

tyrannolaurus
@belladoc Aw, thanks! Not sure if I'm a pro, but I've now been around long enough to host a party, so I'm thinking of asking if I can soon 😄
Apr 17Reply

belladoc
@tyrannolaurus Well let me know when you're hosting a party and I'll be sure to attend :-) See you there! BTW how long have you been a member? Also, any advice on getting sales?
Apr 17Reply

tyrannolaurus
@belladoc Just over three months! Sharing to parties consistently helps, but I think it was really useful to follow people and share their items (particularly if they have a lot of followers -- more people will end up seeing your items).
Apr 17Reply

belladoc
@tyrannolaurus oh great thanks! I'm always sharing and searching. A little scary because I've bought 3 items already and only sold one. I soooo love Posh and happy I found this site. I promised myself, NO MORE BUYING, until I sell :-)
Apr 17Reply

tyrannolaurus
@belladoc It was like that for me at first, too! This site can be dangerous, lol. I first got an account in search of my favorite jeans, and then I realized that I had a bunch of stuff I could sell. I'd like to sell more, but I started selling about 2.5 months ago, and I've sold almost 30 items, which is not bad at all!
Apr 17Reply

tyrannolaurus
@belladoc It definitely comes in waves, though. I once sent out four boxes in one day, and then not that long after, I went a week and a half without a purchase, and I got all concerned.
Apr 17Reply

belladoc
@tyrannolaurus Wow! I would feel the same way. I actually ordered a 1/2 mannequin to put my clothes on because I think it all looks pretty shabby just plopped down...lol I tried to make it look good, but I guess I didn't do a good job. It will arrive tomorrow and I'm pretty psyched about it! I just hope I can make things look a lot better :-) We'll see.
Apr 17Reply

belladoc
@tyrannolaurus I was so bouncing off the walls with my first sale; like a kid in a candy store for sure. It made my day because I was worried that nothing was happening and wondered if all my time spent getting things together would be a waste. Well, that sale proved me wrong. Slow, but sure :-)
Apr 17Reply

belladoc
@tyrannolaurus Sorry for bombarding you with questions, but one last thing, how is it so many Poshers get get the pretty backgrounds. Is it all the magic of photoshop?
Apr 17Reply

tyrannolaurus
@belladoc Probably a good buy! I just got one for the items that don't fit me. I need to put it together -- right now, it's in a plastic bag and my cats seem confused by it, lol. And the first purchase is so exciting! Mine was a necklace I'd never worn because my asshat ex had given it to me. It was the perfect first sale! 😆
Apr 17Reply

tyrannolaurus
@belladoc I'm not totally sure what everyone does, but I use an online (mostly) free graphic design site called Canva when I want to do more with the photos than just post them as is. Some of the things cost $1, but a lot are available for free so I haven't needed to pay for anything. It requires dramatically less skill than Photoshop, which I'd love to learn someday, but is too much for me right now
Apr 17Reply

belladoc
@tyrannolaurus Thanks so much as usual! Sorry, I ran to therapy, my shower,...lol I will definitely look into the site. Yeah photoshop looks crazy so I'm there with you! I'll try out the site and see what I can do. Tell kitty to behave and again, thanks a million! You're a lifesaver! Have a beautiful rest of your night.
Apr 17Reply

tyrannolaurus
@belladoc No worries -- just because I've been around on the internet all night doesn't mean no one else has anything better to do! 😄 I'm glad I was helpful! You have a great night, too ❤️
Apr 17Reply

belladoc
@tyrannolaurus lol, You're too funny. Thanks :-)

@tyrannolaurus hi! I have a question about a big order. If someone buys a lot of stuff how do I send it in separate packages ? I don't have a package big enough to fit everything together so I'm wondering if I need a new shipping label or if I can just reuse the one we get sent?
Apr 23Reply

tyrannolaurus
@sammyalyssa81 Hi! Honestly, I'd suggest getting a bigger box. If you don't, the U.S. postal service only lets you use a shipping label once, so you would have to cancel the order, and then have the buyer re-purchase the items in two different listings (so you would get two different address labels) instead of in the original one. Unfortunately, that's kind of inconvenient for both of you, and the buyer may not be up for it because it means she will have to pay for shipping twice 😕.
Apr 23Reply

tyrannolaurus
@sammyalyssa81 Maybe you can find a bigger box around your place? It doesn't have to be pristine. I have definitely reused big boxes from Amazon or whatever when I needed to fit in a handbag that was too big for the largest free USPS box. After all, who cares about a pretty box if the item is squashed?
Apr 23Reply

tyrannolaurus
@sammyalyssa81 One last thing -- Posh postage only covers up to 5 pounds, so if what you're sending weighs more than that, you'll have to pay a bit extra yourself to upgrade. I hope I was helpful 😄
Apr 23Reply

paperflowerbtq
@tyrannolaurus I asked a few other people and you have definitely given me the best answers. Thank you so much! It's all clothes so it should be 5 pounds and under but how would I tell exactly? I think I'm just going to try and find a box like you said also :)
Apr 23Reply

tyrannolaurus
@sammyalyssa81 I'm glad I was helpful! Do you have a scale? When I send out heavy things, I weigh myself, and then I weigh myself holding the box and subtract.

@beauty_fashions Sorry it's taken me a bit to get back to you -- things have been a little nuts over the past few days, and I'm catching up with Posh today! I'm totally fine with you posting these as long as you say they're mine (and maybe tag me in the comments?). I want this to spread! ❤️

love this! i see people selling stuff you can get on ebay for $7 for $25+ on here and people are preordering and buying. i wish i could warn these buyers but i feel like itd be rude to put a comment like that on the sellers listing

@tyrannolaurus wish someone would call out the LV frauds.Who has 4 Alma bags and then announces more coming next week. When I called sassylassy out as to where the boxes, and packaging was she blocked me. I spent many years in H.K. And NYC and have seen the fakes. How do people fall for this crap!
Jul 08Reply

tyrannolaurus
@jezkaka Yeah, I know what you mean 😞. I saw someone selling a used Express dress for a couple bucks off full price with no listed original price. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to start a fight/be rude, but I hope no one bought it 😕. That was a big part of what inspired me to make this guide -- I wanted to warn other people about sellers like that. There are a lot of great sellers, but some jerks, too.
Jul 08Reply

tyrannolaurus
@jezkaka And thank you! ❤️
Jul 08Reply

jezkaka
yeah i felt the same way. I feel conflicted. Like, itd be rude to the seller but not to a potential buyer getting ripped off. Ugh
Jul 08Reply

tyrannolaurus
@wayofthegoddess Thank you! It is distressing how many fakes are here 😞. Reporting them helps, but they're all over the place 😕. I just hope people don't buy them!
