"No Middle Ground" is a board game published by Against the Odds Magazine that focuses on the 1973 Arab-Israeli Conflict, specifically the battles on the Golan Heights. Designed by Paul Rohrbaugh, the game covers the decisive actions on the northern front of the conflict.
The game includes three scenarios: the opening Syrian attack to retake the Golan, the daring Israeli counter-offensive that drove into the heart of Syria, and a Grand Campaign game that covers the entire campaign for the Golan. Each copy of the game includes a 22” by 34” map and a full sheet of colorful die-cut counters representing brigades from the Syrian and Arab Allies’ armed forces and the battalions of the Israeli Defense Force.
The game uses a chit-pull formation activation system to recreate the chaos of battle while allowing players to deploy and fight their armies. It also features Time-on-Target artillery barrages, Combined-Arms tactics, Airborne and Commando assaults, and more.
