Hello, everyone.
It's been a year since I put this post up. I'm happy to announce that I am in remission from my breast Cancer!
Over this very long year, I've done a lot of things to try to help build my business. I've been listing like crazy. I've been fixing old listings taking new images.
However none of that is, making me happy. It still feels like a bunch of stress that is just weighing on my shoulders, that I cannot get rid of
I can't take the risk of being so stressed out that my cancer comes back again. So I need to change my game plan. I don't want to sell clothing on posh mark anymore. you guys have seen the pictures. I feel like I am being swallowed up by clothing. I know it's brand new clothing & some very gently used. It's just too much for me to handle.
Therefore, all clothing is ยฝ off, when you buy 2 or more items that does not include the $3 items.
Also I want to be done selling shoes. However, there are a few pairs that I cannot do 50% off on right now. I paid too much for them but for the majority, I am willing to go down to ยฝ price or less. It just depends on the shoe.
Once I can get a dent made in the clothing being sold off. I'm gonna move on to my bags & makeup.
The only items I want to be selling are my candles. My crystals, my jewelry.
Those are things that are smaller & that make me happy.
I have no time to put into my candles, that makes me really sad.
Even though I've been listing crazy, I still have so much to go.

I think we mustโve started around the same time. I think mine was 8yrs ago last March, and I totally get it. Itโs not what it was in the early years and I miss the friendships, sales, and encouraging atmosphere. At least there are a few of us still hanging in here.

Since I started on Posh, all I've wanted to do was beable to is makes enough $ to make up the huge gap between my rent/bills & my disability $$, but mostly I wanted to help as many people I could build a business that would ease their stress. @jenden615 I feel so stupid & embarrassed that I put myself out there like this, but when I say I don't have any family or someone that we could stay with if we get evicted, I'm being overly honest & that's what makes me more scared. I'm not going to let the Cancer take me out, not being able to pay our rent is a hell of a lot more scary to me! I'll put on my big girl pants & deal with the pain & treatment but I can't make sales happen, that's what I need help with. ๐

@fancymsnancy It's not usually something I share, He passed in 2015 10/26! He was with his father because I was in the hospital and while crossing the street the wheel fell off of his skateboard ๐น, he was hit & ran over by an SUV. He was only 11. My youngest & him were only 2 years apart, this was so hard on her too. I almost completely lost myself but I found posh the following year & put my energy into that instead of letting that hole kill me.

@moongoddess7 Hey luv, Iโm in remission for the 1st time since age 26 (55 now). My journey started with stage 3 thyroid Ca while pregnant with my 2nd daughter. I was told repeatedly to abort, (I couldnโt do it, but we should have a choice). Iโm sorry you are battling, those words seem trite, I wish I could do more. When diagnosed the 3rd time, my dr wouldnโt look me in the eye. I felt like cattle getting chemo being moved through the system.

Then try some setups at swaps or meets or let one of those flea malls manage a booth so you don't have to be there in person like I am. Just some ideas

I am so sad to hear of what you have been through. I have to have heart surgery in a few weeks, but I will share your closet as much as you can. You sound like a fighter like my girls. My oldest lost her battle with cancer after 10 years but she never gave up. My other daughter is fighting and doing good. Prayers for you and your family. ๐๐ป๐๐๐

I am also disabled with a lot of the same issues you have although, thankfully I have never had cancer. I can tell you are strong!! you can get through this just like you have everything else!

My Dr. that did my hysteroscopy biopsy a few days ago called today (Sunday.) He said cancer was detected and a polyp found. Preliminary tests showed cancer cells present. Iโve been referred to oncologists for a hysterectomy. Iโll be assessed and given a cancer stage rating. I will be directed to further treatment, such as chemo or radiation. Prayers needed.

@corin1965 @moongoddess7 ๐งก๐ I had surgery on Thursday. Iโm still in a huge amount of pain and barely functioning. I canโt drive or do any lifting at all. My sons are helping me out with my orders. Iโm keeping my closet and store open but itโs going to be a tough 2 to 4 weeks. I go back to my oncologist March 10 for the pathology report on the findings from the surgery. ๐๐

I was wondering what was wrong with my ear but with everything else going on I figured it was the least of my problems ๐ I guess that was not true. @moongoddess7 Thanks. My surgery was last week-Total hysterectomy-removed ovaries, fallopian tubes, cervix & uterus. My sciatica & spine injury complicates recovery. I still have a lot of pain-both front & back. Iโm keeping my closet & EB store open. My sons are helping me with orders & shipping. Sorry to hear about your health problems, too. I like them because you can make your listings in there (they also have a listing AI assistant that will help create your title & description by using the 1st 6 images) & then you can send them to so many different platforms.

You don't need permission to open a new cliset just a different e ma il. you should try sidekick, it's a app for posh. it will share your closet for you, follow people, relist, cross list ect.. I use posherva right now but that's an extension for PC. I'm looking at switching to sidekick right now. Every update posh does seems to slow sales SMH

@ladyjeta i didn't realize that we started at the same time. It's 9 years for me, Poshmark has changed. It's like done a complete 180. i have been through a lot but everything is making me such a strong person & a very protective mother of my kids.
I know Moving Out to CA was a big risk.
yes, we are suffering financially, but we are safe. i can't wait to be able to get rid of a lot of this inventory and just work on the candles, crystals & get that luxury of time back, So that I can write a book

I announced this week that I, too, am no longer going to be selling clothing. I personally love clothing and it was my favorite to source but some scammers were allowed returns after damaging two beautiful sweaters. I donโt want to lose myself in fighting like this.

I was a single mom for well over a decade. The 1st time I was seriously ill my boys were 16 and 12 and I was hospitalized for 4 months. I had hoped to write about my experiences to inspire others and someday that could still happen (if my memory can just hold on a bit longer)

@purpledragonbtq ohh, that's terrible. No, that just happened to me with a flat iron. I gave this lady more than 50% off discount on this really expensive flat. Iron, she gets it and opens a case. And says that there's a different flat iron inside of that box. I know I had the correct flat iron in there, It was brand new, I opened it to take pictures that was it.

So she'll get her money back & keep my flat Iron, sent me back one that idk what it is. You know what? It's a really long story, it's so annoying that posh accepted the return.

@purpledragonbtq the doctors took my license in 2013. I don't have epileptic seizures. Mine is called P. N. E. S psychogenetic, non epileptic seizures, they are brought on from the trauma in my past. So they will never go away. So I will never be able to drive. And there's no cure. So I totally understand and I'm so sorry, because that just made me feel like it took my independence away. It's such a terrible feeling. 2 years later, my son passes away. He was 11.

@purpledragonbtq She went through all my money racked up all my cards and left us in the middle of the night at an Airbnb. I didn't even know what 1 of them things were. I'm from Wisconsin.
And I can't drive, so it was pretty scary. That's why I'm still struggling financially. 7 years later, but some people, they just don't have a conscience. I will never understand that.

@purpledragonbtq So my book will be a series. I think First one will be about my life before California. And then my second one will be about what happened when I got here. And all this struggle along the way, and then my third one will be how everything turned out amazingly. And my kids and I were able to find a forever home that we can afford. We don't have to worry about not being able to pay our rent.

@purpledragonbtq Because we will own the home and it has a yard. So I can grow things. I want to be able to have fruit trees and grow sage and lavender and strawberries. I love strawberries and all my herbs. And I want an area where my daughter can record her music and paint.
And I also want a separate area like a meditation area or a quiet area. You know where you can go and read a book. And it's very tranquil in that area. With candles and maybe a fountain. And incense burning.
