isabatten Hey! I saw your message on the doen night dress I was looking at. Seriously THANK YOU. I was highly considering it and I don’t live in the country so if my mom received it I would’ve just accepted it and lost my money cause she’s not good at telling fake stuff apart. How did you realize it was fake?

gracesensing @isabatten Of course! I was so bummed, I’ve been looking for that one for a while! The main thing was that the one I got had a regular Doen tag when the real one had a custom tag for the collab with Library Science! The material for the Doen tag seemed off and so I looked it up and it was different! I also posted in a Doen group to see if maybe it was a sample or something that would cause them to use a different tag, because all the other details looked very real!

gracesensing @isabatten It was a very convincing fake. I also think the fabric was just a little different, but it’s hard to tell without comparing in person. From photos it seemed like the doen fabric would be thinner/a smaller weave.

isabatten @gracesensing that’s crazy! Fakes can be so good unless you have the real thing right in front, were you able to get a refund? It’s such a gorgeous dress I’m definitely on the hunt for it too. I found one in a size large but it would be too big on me :/

gracesensing @kcrae217 I’m not entirely sure. I bought this from my SIL, but I know she usually hang dries things like this, as do I. If this has ever been in a dryer it was on low! But again, I don’t believe it has.
