They come that short, not hemmed. The fabric feels a lot like the typical lululemon pant fabric - it is nice and light and stretchy. I'm not sure the style of the pants, I'm sorry. I bought them a year or two ago and have hardly worn them and don't have any tags left on them to look up the style number or model.
