This exquisite vintage Dean Brown Sterling Silver Navajo cross necklace and pendant dating back to the '60s, features a magnificent large silver cross pendant showcasing museum-quality craftsmanship. The authentic sterling Silver cross pendant and has a turquoise in the center. The necklace laying flat straight unclasped is 24” long. The thick and sturdy, heavy pendant is complemented by expertly crafted Navajo pearls and torpedo-shaped sterling silver beads throughout the necklace, secured with a traditional silver clasp. Due to its age, the entire piece boasts a charming old natural patina. The hallmark is the D B.
Navajo silversmith, Dean Brown, who is now deceased, was Kirk Smith's nephew. Dean apprenticed under his famous uncle. Dean was successful in his own right, producing old style jewelry, similar to Kirk's.
