Natural Soapstone Lidded Container

Beautiful clean lines in this unusual natural soapstone circular container with fitted lid and chrome knob handle. No branding or maker’s mark, but is likely a mid-century Scandinavian design made with quality white sandstone. It’s heavy - about 2.10 lbs., sturdy, and practical. Use it in the bathroom for cotton balls or other toiletries, or the dressing table for jewelry, cosmetics. The bottom retains an image of a former label, now gone. Also has three rubber feet to protect surfaces.
