Traditional Outside Fired
This is a gorgeous pastel vase with waved edge and raised lizard design along with additional traditional designs. Tony Lorenzo is from the Zuni Pueblo in New Mexico. He has received 1st & 2nd place in the 2015 Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial. The raised lizards are one of his favorite designs when creating a piece.
Tony Lorenzo is known his hand coiled, hand painted raised lizard pots. His pots are fired outside in the traditional Zuni manner. Zuni Pottery is very unique and most always seems to be a little different than the Northern New Mexico Pueblos work.
This beauty would make a perfect piece for your collection sure to become an heirloom piece.
