This Native American pottery vase is a vintage piece that showcases traditional (Navajo?) craftsmanship. Hand-painted and signed by the artisan (signature looks like "Nurrev"), this handmade vase embodies the rich cultural heritage of Native American art. I have seen similar vases described as Navajo wedding vases, but those typically have equally tall necks. This one featured different heights on the two necks. I call it a bud vase. With the red rock motif, desert plants, and symbols, it appears to be Navajo but is not signed as such. The top half is a beautiful shade of blue, with the warm colors of a sunset on the bottom half.
It is collectible but could be used to hold two stems. Bonus if you could source something native to the American Southwest, like sage brush, Arizona thistle, or horsetail milkweed. Usually, it is displayed as a unique piece of art.
It stands 5 inches tall (4 inches to the tip of the shorter neck) and has a 5 1/2-inch diameter at its widest part.
No chips or cracks in the pottery itself but there is a spot of missing paint on the underside as photographed
