Narain Jagat & Sons Purse with Gold and Silver Thread 1940’s Vintage.

Velvet inner lining. Super detailed, heavy embroidery done in Zardozi style real gold and silver thread. Stunning. The snap closure needs to be sewn back down. I showed it in the pictures. Both parts of the snap are there, I just do not sew, and would make it worse. It stays closed so you don’t actually need it but I left it in case someone who can sew grabs it:). Super rare. He made a similar bag for president’s wife in the 40’s. The thread is actually made of gold and silver. You can see it glistening. It is so embellished it looks beaded but it is the threads gleaming. Fantastic vintage find.
