Remove the insert, fold it out, and you can do your nails anywhere. 3 compartments in the middle to hold your nail polish and tools. The bag is polyester with silk wadding. Measurements (approx): BAG: 7" x 5" x 3.5" INSERT: 10" open x 5.5" x 4" 2 4" ends with 3 middle compartments (2 are 1.5" x 1.5" and center is 2" x 1.5). All are 1.5" deep
