Vintage, Rarely Used, Black Faux Fur Long Coat. Medium. Has monogram stitched inside. Silk lining. **This is an old fur coat that belonged to my mother. I had it appraised and they told me that it was what it says in the description. I am not sure on the information. Please use whatever is in the pictures and description as information to help you do your own research before purchasing. I am not trying to trick anyone, just giving the info that I know. Thanks!

brian_grendoth @alexiskgarrett Hi there! So the sleeves are about 24.5 inches from the shoulder. It doesn't have any buttons, but does have three areas in the front where it hooks shut. It also has 2 pockets on both sides.

brian_grendoth @cin4prez It was my mothers, back in the day. I had it appraised and was given a current value of about 550-700$. I'm only looking to sell but if I do trade, it would be for a higher value than I have listed. Sorry.

cherie_lapin I can’t find a furrier named NY&Co anywhere. The only NY&Co I can find is the low priced ladies fashion store. The tag also doesn’t make sense with the lining info. Lining would normally be silk. Are you the 1st owner? I think that tag was seen into the coat possibly. I ❤️ the coat, but could you give more info about the furrier?

brian_grendoth @cherie_lapin Hi there! Thanks for the interest in the coat. It was my mothers coat. As far as I know she was the first and only owner. I tried to do as much research as I could before posting but, like you, could not find anything substantial information on it from that company. It would be way before anything they make now. I had it appraised by an uncle who used to work in a facility that put these coats together. That is the most reliable source I have or could give you. Sorry about that.

brian_grendoth @blackdurango Hi there! Yes it is pure black. I have had some trouble getting this item appraised since it is so old and not that much information on the internet. The original appraisal that I got told me that it was what it says in the title. I’m am not sure it is real fur so I am going to probably change the title.

collettla Would you say this runs a try medium? Some vintage items run small. Also is the fur in good condition? Is there any flaws, missing fur, etc.

brian_grendoth @collettla Hi there! It does feel a bit tighter than a Medium. And like how I wrote in the description, I am not totally sure, but had it appraised by someone in the business. Maybe it is faux fur.

viper7 Hi Brian if wondering if this is actually real fur or not....it's not real fur at all. But these are made to look like real fur deliberately & yes they sell for a lot of $$ too. That's another re4ason you coulkdn't find the Co. name in your research as a furrier (because it's not made by furriers, it's made by manufacturers that makes other clothing)

brian_grendoth @nyseawitch Hi there! Sorry about that. Just got back from vacation. It is currently available but wanted to make sure that you knew what you were buying. I would refer to Viper7’s comment in this same feed. It seems it might be faux fur but I do not have any definitive proof as it was my grandmothers.
