NWT Vivienne Tam vintage y2k deadstock runway macrame beaded mesh top

This top is from Vivienne Tam's Fall 2002 collection. It's made from her signature mesh and has gold beading/weaving details at the neckline. The detail at the neckline is reminiscent of Chinese decorative knots & reflects Tam's heritage. There's fringe with beaded ends below this knot. The version that appeared on the runway has slightly different beading in this area but appears to be the same otherwise. The body is made from two layers of solid black mesh. It's cut with ruching that follows the bottom of the bustline and a slight a-line shape through the body. 3/4 sleeves use only one layer of mesh and are semi-sheer. The cuffs are cut at an angle and have pintucks; they have volume above the cuff then gather. This piece is brand new with tags and flawless! The Vivienne Tam branded hangtag is attached at the label; a price tag is on the left cuff.
