NWT Vintage Brooklyn Handknit Black Wool Scarf

NTW. This scarf was bought in the y2k years at Saks Fifth Avenue and never worn. The original tag is still attached. It measures 36.5 inches in length and 5 inches in height. It is black and the flowers are cream and mauve pink. One of the ends has a slit so that you can thread the opposite end through it, and wear it as a cowl. The knit is substantial so it keeps its form and shape. It has a bit of a rougher hand feel. Here is the description of the brand from the founder’s website: Brooklyn Handknit was started in 1995 when Janis Stemmermann started knitting with her babysitter Tsering Wangmo. They began collaborating, interpreting patterns used on Janis's sculptures and turning them into knitted hats and mittens.
