This lunchbox from Thermos has a cool, modular design that lets you customize what you pack. It also keeps food separate, like a bento box. Inside the outer lunchbox sits the snap-in food tray, which has 3 wells. Within the tray there are also 2 storage divider inserts (1 green and 1 gray) that can be rearranged or removed. The plastic is durable and BPA-free and dishwasher-safe. The rubberized latch is designed to so kids can open/close it themselves. The exterior box (which contains all the parts) measures 6.8 inches high x 8.25 inches wide x 3.3 inches deep. The entire set weighs close to 1.8 lb. This lunchbox is NWT, never used. It was purchased directly from Thermos.com. Please note that the set being sold here DOES NOT include the 8oz Food Jar or the 2oz Condiment Jar, however. (These are the 2 cylindrical plastic jars shown in the professional marketing photos.) What you will get is the lunchbox with the lift-out tray and the 2 storage divider inserts. The lunchbox can be used without the 2 jars; just place solid food in those 2 sections in the tray. Thermos's popular FUNtainer water bottles (the 12oz size) will fit inside this lunchbox, when the divider tray is removed. The lunchbox itself will fit inside Thermos-brand soft lunch boxes/bags. Rubberized feet on the bottom prevent slippage. Thermos notes that this lunchbox is not intended to insulate food or beverages, unless used with one of its vacuum-insulated food jars/bottles, which are sold separately.
