This unique dog picture frame is completely hand painted with Grant-Noren's studio made buttermilk glazes and lacquered on wood (no wood shows). Easel back. Hand crafted in Westtown, NY. The artworks by Ingela Noren and Daniel Grant are hand-painted on wood. As taught by an old master in Stockholm, Sweden, they first apply an underlayer of sealing stain or paint. They then mix the pigment with a milk-based glaze and apply it using brushes, combs, sponges, fists, and fingers! In the end, a final varnish is applied to protect the work and create a lovely finish. They impart elegance with a Deco air.
