willafur Do you have a picture of the side where it says with wireless charging case. It should say it on the side of the box.

willafur And the back doesn’t have a cable going into the charging unit. These look like the generation 2 with out the wireless charging. If these were, I was going to purchase them, but it looks like the gen 2’s and those are 160 through apple website

caitirunz @willafur these are gen 2 (said in description) 😊. The case charges the airpods without being plugged in. You do have to charge the case, but once the case is charged the airpods will charge wirelessly while inside the case. Hope that helps!

willafur @caitirunz ok, that’s a little confusing. I thought your post was stating that the case was wireless charging. They make the charging case where you can charge with out plugging in the wire to the charging case. That’s what I thought you were saying in this post. I know airpods charge in the case wirelessly but they make the case where you can charge wirelessly. So these are just the $169 dollar pair that you can get off apples website. Why are you selling them for more?

caitirunz @willafur I didn’t mean to cause any confusion! I just copied and pasted the description from apple’s website and provided accurate photos. I purchased these at the retail price of $199 which is what apples website currently reflects. My price listed is $25 lower and I would still get significantly less if somebody purchased at this price due to fees. If you’re interested, feel free to make an offer!

willafur @caitirunz yeah, that price is for the wireless charging case one. Oh, I just wanted to confirm. Making sure I was reading it correctly, I was looking at them last night that’s why I know the difference in prices for them on apples website. I just bought some used and the person told me they worked and when I got them only one works and the other shows a red exclamation mark. So I’m still looking for a pair.

caitirunz @willafur It seems the 2nd gen are capable of wireless charging as well, I just don’t know that technology. These are 100% 2nd gen and the 2nd gen still has the lightning cable in case you don’t have wireless charging capability. Where on the box would you like to see that would confirm this? Sorry, I’m just not familiar with the other types of AirPods!

caitirunz @willafur Im sorry you’re having trouble with the pair you bought. I have my own pair of the exact same model I’m selling (2nd gen) and there is a long silver rectangle on the back of the case that I think is for wireless charging. I just don’t have a wireless charging pad. I can add a picture but please know that is my own personal pair, and the pair I’m selling is still factory sealed!

willafur @caitirunz there’s a way to tell, if your light indicator is on the inside between the airpods they are not the wireless charging ones, if it’s on the front of the case rather then in the middle of the airpods then this is the wireless charging case. Thanks, you live, you learn. I’m trying to make sure I ask more questions this time lol.

caitirunz @bianae19 thanks for letting me know. I listed my price for $25 cheaper than what I purchased them for at Apple. When Apple lowers the price (and it seems like they did) I will adjust accordingly. I just don’t have an eye on the prices daily, thanks though!
