They're made of 100% chemical-free organic cotton. That means no latex and no spandex, both of which can make your feet itch, swell, and/or feel dry -- especially if you have contact dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, or multiple chemical sensitivity. Think of them as allergy-free socks. They are naturally breathable. Of course, you can wear these socks even if you don't have sensitive skin. They're thick and soft, with a double lining for maximum comfort and absorbency, and covered seams to prevent chafing. The top covers the ankles while the bottoms are a loose fit on the foot. The fit makes them best used as house socks -- like slippers. They can be worn inside shoes, but the shoes would need to be quite roomy, such as snow boots. Instead, wear them around the house.
