Bisou Bisou The Heidi Dress Long sleeve Black jersey knit Size Small This design was mistakenly created during a collection I developed in ’91. This top that had just come off of the sewing machine, was incredibly tiny and unwearable. It would have been a waste to discard a sample that took time and effort to make, so I tried cutting into the sleeves and keeping the sample for myself. I stopped halfway through the first cut and was inspired by the cutlines. After testing the sample, I absolutely fell for the fit and style and knew it had to be integrated into the collection. As an ode to my best seller of the 90’s, I decided to bring back the famed piece from Bisou Bisou Nouvelle Couture, in dress form with the Heidi. By coincidence, cutouts happen to be a huge trend that are still relevant 20 years later - and just as eye-catching.
