NWOT Fat Brain Toys Magnetic Creation Station (Tangram Toy)

This educational toy from Fat Brain Toys is a great way to encourage fine motor skills, visual-spatial skills, creativity, and shape learning. It consists of 3 major pieces: a wooden case that has magnetic sides, both inside and out; a set of 46 magnetic shapes; and a booklet that shows 20 designs that can be created with the shapes, e.g., a rocket ship, a smiling face, a house, various animals. Like other tangram toys, it helps teach skills that support learning geometry and fractions later. Of course, children can also arrange the shapes into their own designs. The shapes come in different colors and sizes. The case is square and has hinges. It shuts securely with a metal latch. It can be used when shut or open. The exterior magnetic material is black and slightly textured. The interior magnetic material is white and smooth like a dry-erase board. Both the shapes and the booklet fit inside the latched case. The case measures 20.5 x 10.25 x 0.75 inches when open and 10.25 x 10.25 x 1.5 inches when latched. There is some weight to this toy, but rope handles make for easy carrying. Due to small parts, this toy is for children 3 years and up. This item is NWOT, purchased directly from Fat Brain Toys. The case does have some (7?) glue spots on the black sides and 1 very small scratch mark on the inside (see photos). These are manufacturing quirks; the toy arrived this way and has never been used. The toy will ship without its original box, but with all original parts.
