It recommended to wash once before wearing, which I did following instructions, and I probably would have it dry cleaned in the future so that it will retain the crisp look you see in the first picture. I kept it even though as a petite, I did feel it was rather large for my frame. I recommend this piece wholeheartedly for its quality and look, but I definitely recommend this piece for a person who is regular or tall sizes in a Large (seems a bit big for fitting medium sizes well). I believe this would also suit an XL as the tie is very generous as is the cut. It could really be a stunner for the right person. It has never been worn only washed once. As I am currently downsizing, as much as I wanted this to work for me, it didn't suit my petite size, so this is a perfect piece to offer up here for the fall season.
