DO NOT PURCHASE THIS LISTING ITS ONLY TO NOTIFY YOU OF A "NOT SO AUTHENTIC" DOUBLE RL RALPH LAUREN RUG LISTING... I NOTIFIED THE SELLER AND HE DELETED MY COMMENT AND RELISTED THIS FAKE THING. CLAIMS IT'S ULTRA RARE... MORE LIKE "ULTRA FAKE"...THE KEY IDENTIFIER IS ON THE MANUFACTURERS LABEL... THE 2 R's ARE TOUCHING AT THE BOTTOM WHICH I POINT OUT IN MY PICS.. THERE SHOULD ALWAYS BE A SLIGHT GAP BETWEEN THE TWO SHOWN IN THE PIC LABELED AS AUTHENTIC... THE NON-AUTHENTIC TAGS MEASUREMENTS DONT MATCH AUTHENTIC TAGS... PLUS THEY WOULD NEVER STAPLE THEIR TAGS TO ANYTHING! THE QUALITY WOULD BE MUCH BETTER AS WELL AS THE GRAPHICS... AND NOT TO FORGET THE LACK OF A MATERIAL AND CARE TAG?? THESE RUGS ARE COMING FROM A CHINESE RUG MANUFACTURER THAT ARE SELLING ON THE MOST POPULAR AUCTION SITE ONLINE. THERE'S A FEW DIFFERENT ONES THEY MAKE AND SELL WAY LESS THAN $400. TAKE A SCREENSHOT AND GOOGLE SEARCH THE IMAGE... RALPH LAUREN'S SITE NEVER COMES UP, ONLY ASIAN LISTINGS YOU CAN'T READ. I'M SHARING THIS INFORMATION BECAUSE I HATE SEEING PEOPLE SPREAD THIS CRAP. IT SUPPORTS CRIMINAL ELEMENTS, INFERIOR QUALITY ITEMS MISREPRESENTING A BRAND THAT IM LOYAL TO AND NOT TO FORGET THE SELLER INTENTIONALLY BURNS THE BUYER PASSING OFF HIS BAD PURCHASE TO SOMEONE ELSE. TAKE THE "L" AND THROW THIS CRAP AWAY!

@lovethrift I would avoid the "so called" Ultra rare Double RL rug you recently liked. It's a bad fake. Wanted to make you aware. I hate when people get burned on things like this. Especially when the seller has been notified and is aware. I made a warning post pointing out key identifiers.

@jroddontsurf Thanks for the tips. There is another seller, “ow_onsale”, on another platform who sells fake RRL crap like this. Avoid his items like the plague.

There is a guy on eastbay selling a bunch of fake RRL stuff and he is making a killing, I paid 990 for a leather and it had fake tags thank god I was able to return it. But all his items are fake.

@lovethrift Oh wow, I'm glad you didn't get stuck with that. It's purchases like your incident that drives me to warm others of fake stuff being posted. I bought 2 shirts years ago that turned out to be fake. I opened a case 5 months after the purchase. But before boxing them up, I took a seam buster and removed ever tag in those shirts🤣

@lovethrift can you share name?
Jan 19Reply

lovethrift
@rtri007 the name of the seller on the other platform?

@lovethrift Every rug being sold on that auction platform is fake. I searched RRL Rugs and floor mats. There are no manufacturers tags anywhere.. There's even a western style wall advertisement I saw that appears to be denim but its printed vinyl. AND it has a ghetto printed RRL military tag as the manufacturer tag stitched on the back attempting to make it appear legit. The legit one is printed Selvedge Denim with all the proper tags. I have one I can show.

@jroddontsurf well the guy selling on the E platform has changed his account 5x and has been selling fake RRL since. You name it, bags coats, t shirts, sweaters jeans

Thanks for the heads up! Would you be able to tell me if a listing I recently bought is real? The tag looks real, but I just want to be sure. If you can, I really appreciate it.

@iww1905 Yeah man it's good... the 6 star tags are from the early to mid 1990's. There's a big sizing difference in the older pieces to the newer. More classic fit in the 90's and eventually gets slimmer and slimmer fit on more modern garments.

@rtri007 I'm not sure his name... he's a Chinese seller with several accounts. Or anyone selling rugs are fake. There's tons of fake RRL on that site. Best advice I have... do an image search and if you dont see that RL didn't ever post it for sell or other legit platforms and sites didn't post it for sell, most like it's a fake. Always inspect tags and quality closely. Or simply ask a collector to check it out for you if you're not sure. Better safe than out hundreds of dollars.

@jroddontsurf appreciate the response. I'm a modern xl, but some modern xls are tighter on me than others. This shirt should fit me, I'm hoping. From what I read, they're snug even if they're a little bigger.

still fake garbage fake caps on poshmark. They refuse to take down the illegal caps. counterfeiting is a crime.

Recently purchased something on the other platform. The tag quality is definitely lacking. Any help authenticating would be helpful.

@jerrywrivera if you paid through PayPl you have 6 months to open a case to send it back.

@jroddontsurf Thanks for making this post. I've been on a RRL collecting spree and unfortunately the item in question was fake. I caught it because someone above mentioned that seller by name. I checked it against a boutique item and I can't believe I missed the signs. Sent photos and received a return label.
