Estate find. Stored well with care. Gemstone: "Fissure Filled Ruby" Round cut approx 5.75mm and 0.97cts. Stored in a plastic jar box with a glass window. Box appears to be unopened, or sealed. Unsure if it's the original from the day it was purchased seal but it dos not appear to have been opened for several years. Possible mid 2010's onward. What does "Fissure filled"? A fissure-filled ruby is a lower-quality, fractured ruby that has been treated by filling its cracks with lead glass to improve its transparency and clarity, making it appear like a valuable, high-quality gemstone.
