NEW 100% Hand Sewn Quilt

100% HAND SEWN heirloom quilt by me, a third generation quilter. NO MACHINE is used during any step and the entire process - cutting, piecing, quilting, and binding, is done by my hands with a needle and thread (see last photo!) Size is Full. Pattern is a 9-patch, with a crossed “t” emphasis. The quilt is inspired by the changing of the seasons: the rich lodge hues of winter, blooming colors of spring, the warmth and sounds of summer, and the southern migration of sparrows in the fall. There is an inherent balance between the front and back materials, colors, and organic vs. inorganic forms. I believe that FUNCTION matters as much as form. That’s why the construction is 100% cotton, with a muslin back (the same material used for baby swaddles). The result is a fluffy, soft quilt that you’ll want to cozy up under.
