momlaurie @lorimccullough OMG! He's so precious!! Just like my Anya, always has to touch the people she loves <3 And I just love to see a child and their dog - touches my heart =) Anya is a lab/retriever mix ... we think, lol, she's a rescue so we're guessing, but one of the sweetest pups you'll ever meet!!

lorimccullough @momlaurie yes max is rescue too! Best tempered dog. I think that's the lab they are so friendly. He wants to meet everyone to a fault. I'm always afraid someone will steal him because he roams free around my yard. He is also stubborn though. That is the husky independent in him. Husky's are independent and sometimes stubborn. I want a Dachshund so bad. How about you? Everybody's got a dog wish lol

momlaurie @lorimccullough The best tempered dogs-great with kids! Labs have some stubbornness too-Anya can be such a bullhead, lol. I think everyone in my neighborhood has a Dachshund, they are such cute ankle biters. My next door neighbor has two & they run up and down the fence line with my dogs barking the entire time, it must be some kind of puppy game, lol.

momlaurie @lorimccullough We've had ChowChows, which are the best! And growing up we always had mutts and they are the best too! Idk what my dog wish would be, I love them all!

lorimccullough @momlaurie I know me too. When we got max I told my husband you go in first and pick two dogs and I will choose from those two. Otherwise I would of picked the most saddest pathetic thing In there! It would of took me all day and I probably would of tried to con my way into two dogs instead of one 🐶🐶

momlaurie @lorimccullough Lol, well that's exactly what happened to me! We ended up adopting 2 - just couldn't choose one and send the other back to love-lessness =( So our family was increased x2 <3

momlaurie @lorimccullough Don't apologize, I'm enjoying talking with you, you seem very kind and a fellow dog lover, so...=) Chow Chows are very laid back dogs and very protective of their "family", but we never had any issues with ours except once when a friend came over and he ignored our big blue chow "Bear" and went straight to the fish tank and when Bear had enough of being ignored he nipped in on the back of his ankle like to say, "Hey, I'm right here, pet me!" lol

momlaurie @lorimccullough But like with any dog, it's all about how you raise/treat them - they can be mean or they can be the sweetest lovable teddy bear ever! And our friend wasn't hurt, we all had a good laugh and Bear got his lovin'

lorimccullough That's funny. They do look like bears. My husband use to have two chows before I met him but they weren't as mild tempered, I think because they weren't mainly house dogs. I think if they aren't working dogs in a farm, hunting etc. then they should not be kept outside in pen. I hate seeing that. Because they are such social animals

sofisticatati @lorimccullough those are adorable pics. You son is a handsome little man. The doggie is sweet. Looks like Labrador. They are the best dogs. I used to have a German Shepard. Kind of missing a big dog. Good luck to you in everything. You are a good person!👍
