@mjsclosetgems I will :) I will let you know though that there is an issue with the zipper pulls on both of the bags, I don't know how picky you are about that sort of thing lol. It seems like there's always some sort of problem with the ones with the locking clasps for some reason

OMG, I know, right?? I just got one off eBay and the seller failed to mention that the lock looked like it had been pried open then glued back together and missing ALL four screws!! Ugh, hated that!! Now I have to go get it priced to get fixed b/c I live the bag!! What's wrong with the zipper pulls on yours?

@mjsclosetgems UGH, that's happened to me so many times, just like with the other Montego I have listed that you liked... like nobody thinks to mention that in the listings?! The leopard one is missing the whole back plate of the lock, so you can't lock it, but it looks fine from the side that you can see, you can't tell by looking. The black one is actually missing the whole original zipper pull (how does that happen??!!) and has the little square pull off the inside pocket on it. It sounds worse than it is, nobody really notices it and it doesn't look bad in my opinion. I can take some pics of them if you want

Didn't get the Marigold yet! I had the seller hold off on shipping till Monday b/c I was visiting relatives in Indianapolis till today! I did get the Deco bag and of course was disappointed about some of the condition on the bag that you couldn't see in the pics and even though I asked tons of questions & had the seller upload tons more photos they still failed to mention a few things! Just annoying when people do that!! Just be real and upfront about it all!! Ugh! Anyways I might be getting rid of that soon...wink wink winkπ

I know right??? Well thankfully it's not that bad! Don't get me wrong, the bag is gorgeous! Super soft! It has black scuffs on the white patent strip that goes around the top on front side. I thought I could get those off but no luck so far. On the handles, where they connect to the purse it looks like they took a lighter to it to burn down a loose string that I noticed on one of the pics! But you don't see it unless your looking at it up close! But still!! And then there are just a few tiny marks on leather but all and all the inside is perfect! I was just hoping for a better bag! Is it sad that I already found a new one just like it?? I'm still waiting to hear from the seller though b/c I need more pics!

As I am finding out!!! Might have to take it to my handbag guy and see what he can do! I truly hate ordering from any other site besides here but posh just takes so much it's hard to get a good price sometimes! I'm still waiting on my Alchemy Montego! Threadflip is notorious for not sending out emails about shipping till later! The last item I purchased I didn't get the email it had shipped until the day I got it! Now, on the alchemy, the seller was out if town for thanksgiving said would be back on Tues. On Tues seller confirmed order and said would ship first thing in morning! No email shipped and seller hasn't answered all (5) of my messages about if she has ever shipped or not! Had to send request to Threadflip about it and still no answer since they said they have a high volume of requests!! About ready to give up on that one!! Ugh!! Really wanted it too!!

I have used that on a lot of bags before with great success, but never tried it on patent :/

@mjsclosetgems Hehe! I always buy beat up bags for cheap prices and fix 'em up like new! You learn stuff along the way haha :D Just try it on a small area before you go crazy with it, as it can mess up the finish of some leathers (can dry them out, may not be a problem for the patent). I've also heard that NON-ACETONE nail polish remover is good for scuffs on patent, but again I've never tried it. That's about all I can come up with off the top of my head, but I'll do some research and let you know if I see something else that might help :)

Oh, had to go thru Threadflips support, which is slow to begin with, just to get a response from the seller as to if she had shipped the items even though I had sent her 4 messages since 11/28 to see when she would mail & tracking info!! After Threadflip sent her a message saying it would be canceled & refunded her response to me was "it shipped!" Really???? Ok let's see when, tracking # like I asked several times and when am I getting it!! Ugh!! Seriously never ordering from there again!!

So, I was looking around trying to find someway to lighten the handles of the Exeter if we decided to do a trade, but I'm not finding much helpful info- baby wipes and a magic eraser are the only tips I'm seeing. I'm definitely NOT using a magic eraser on that type of leather, so I'm not sure what to do! Do you know of any way to lighten them? :/

Well believe it or not I actually got my Alchemy Montego!!! For what I paid for it I'm happy but not happy that I have to clean it, that the back outside is tinted darker on one side like a slight coffee stain but hardly noticeable! I've already removed some dirt spits from the outside but the inside had some sort of glitter and blush marks, which I'll remove. But seller DEFINITELY DID NOT CARE ABOUT SENDING IT OR CARE OF IT because she stuffed, literally, smashed it into a box!! I had to cut the entire box down as to not search it up if I had pulled it out!!! Ugh!! Never again with Threadflip!!!!

@mjsclosetgems Well I'm glad you finally got it!! Try the magic eraser on the dark area on the outside of it, it works REALLY well on that coated canvas material- I got my marigold Broadgate bag super cheap because the seller thought it had stains on it, but the magic eraser got EVERYTHING off it! It looks brand new now. And some tape can help get some of the glitter out of the inside of it :) But yeah, steer clear of Threadflip in the future!

Seriously, you need to publish "handy tips for handbag revival!" As I said before, after kids my brain DOES NOT function like it use to! Tape for the glitter, great idea and definitely picking up the magic eraser today! Thanks again for all you handy tips!! Hey let me know about that Exeter!! Still no bids on it!! π

@mjsclosetgems Haha! I would be seriously surprised if the eraser doesn't get it clean though- and don't be afraid to put some muscle into it if it doesn't come off right away! Coated canvas in darn-near indestructible!! Let me know how it turns out. And I'm still trying to figure out a way to lighten the handles on the Exeter, want to make sure I can fix it! :)

@mjsclosetgems Yeah I saw that one... I've heard horror stories about baby wipes making it EVEN DARKER and cracking the handles though! Baby wipes and magic eraser are really the only tips I can find, and I'm not too keen on experimenting with them. I know from past experience that magic erasers are BAD for that kind of untreated leather :(

On that site it listed Cadillac boot and shoe leather conditioner for the patina on the handles. Ever tried that?

@mjsclosetgems I haven't tried that particular brand before, but I think they were just using that after the magic eraser to re-hydrate the leather. It won't lighten it on it's own :(

As much as I LOVE the shadow print I'm not a huge fan of the tote style! Plus I did ask for additional pics on it and it's tearing on the grey patent part on a seam but didn't like the condition of the rest. Still a great deal for someone though! I got my Lucca!!! Gorgeous & love it!!

I did!! Straps are peeling, made me nervous about that even though I love it! Plus I saw that Lisa was interested so didn't want to step on toes!! If it's there for awhile I might see if she'll take less!! Just not right now!

@mjsclosetgems Oh yeah, I saw that! Mine is actually lipstick saddle to match my Mandeville lol... it's not in the best shape either, the gold plating on the buckle doesn't look so good. I'll be keeping an eye out for her though! ;)
