It is a sweater material that you can wear around your neck like a scarf. It is wider so you can wear it more like a shawl. It has holes in it to put your arms through to that it can be worn like a cover. I had a demonstration of about 8 things you can do, but I can't remember them all. If you are creative, you can do lots of different things with it. It is nice and soft and would definitely help keep you warm.

No, it is two layers the way it is in the second picture, but that is so that it can make the holes for your arms in case you want to wear it like a shawl.
