Movado Museum watch with a stainless steel band. This iconic design, created by Nathan George Horwitt in 1947, is known for its minimalist black dial with a single concave dot at 12 o'clock, symbolizing the sun at high noon. The design was so innovative that it became the first watch dial to be accepted into the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1960, giving the watch its name.
Key features of this watch include:
Design: A minimalist dial with no numbers or hour markers, just a single dot at the 12 o'clock position.
Movement: Swiss-made / Swiss quartz movements.
Materials: Crafted with high-quality stainless steel & scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.
Vintage Movado. purchased in early 2000's. I did not keep the box or receipt. Dial is scratch & water resistant. Stainless steel band has wear & tear moderate scratches. Back of the dial has some scratches. See photos provided.
