These three Moriyama porcelain pieces are in excellent condition; both shakers and tray are beautifully hand-painted with a vibrant, fresh floral chintz design and gold.
The shakers are gilded along the handles with no sign of wear or tear. You won't find a nearly flawless pair like these in too many places. Believe me, I've looked...and I'm still looking. In addition, the perforated caps on both shakers are easily detachable by gently unscrewing them; handle with care.
"Moriyama Pottery was located in MoriMachi in Shizuoka prefecture. Moriyama Pottery was established in 1911 by Hidekichi Nakamurawho was taught pottery making by Seison Suzuki. Dimensions: Approximately 1-1/2" in length and 1-1/2" in width for the separate salt and pepper shakers. The tray is around 6" in length and a little over 2" in width.
