tomalee@nikkinoodles Oh, you found my treasure:). He has a tumor and we are spoiling him and keeping him close until the time comes and vet will come to take care of him. We are devastated, but after three weeks, he has not deteriorated , just little more coughing. We have never been able to say goodbye to one of our babies, and this is our chance to be here for him and know he will go easy. The tumor in fast growing in his chest pressing on esophagus. This pic washed after I got a posh package and my posher @gypsyangel, set a stocking and treats from Santa Paws, he was enjoying himself south, gets up every morning and hunts for his new toys. Sorry to go on about this, but it does my heart good for y'all to notice him and see what a great boy he is. He's 11 1/2 so no baby, but we weren't expecting that kind of news.. He's happy, goes for his walks, gets anything he wants to eat, goes everywhere we go, plays, so he is a satisfied little man. Thanks for admiring him:):) and for listening:)

nikkinoodlesi never had my own dog -- though an animal lover, i always had cats -- but when i met my hubby, i immediately adopted his dog. his ex who wanted a dog didn't want her after all when they split, and he works all day... i work at home, and she quickly became "mine" and i became "hers" ;-) after 4 years, she developed a condition too, but as you're doing, i spent all the time i could with her, and i know for sure her last months/weeks/days were her best! what a blessing they are, our fur-kids! and i guess we are to them too! oxoxoxox

tomalee@nikkinoodles Thank you for that, we are at a better place now than three weeks ago, haven't accepted it, but dealing and looking at it as our gift to him and somehow, that has eased it some-oh, I still throw my screaming fits but not continuously. He gets scrambled eggs and ham for breakfast and chicken and rice or ham and rice for dinner and his treats( within reason) when he asks for them, so we are making it a day at a time. And he and we are coming along. Sometimes for a brief second, I can almost forget as he goes bounding off the deck chasing birds, rabbits,or squirrels out of HIS back yard- he truly has been a treasure , and will continue to be, we've got three boxes of ashes from three of our standard babies and his will b there, hope not too soon.. Girl I'm sorry, I know you didn't sign up for this, but thank you , girl thank you for your ear:);):)

tomalee@galaxyfashion Thank you soo much, he is wonderful--sadly he's ill and we r spoiling him rotten , more so than he already was. Day to day is how we r making it, appreciate u commenting on him:):). He's. 11 1/2 , but cancer is not something we ever though about. Thanks girl for spreading the love and you are REALLY. tomalee@demitria67 That's my man. General Patton, and yes he's a standard, we live them!!!:). We have had 4 over the past 20 odd years, two at a time. sassysuzzy@tomalee I am so sorry to read that General Patton has cancer. Oh Tommy Girl, that breaks my heart. We had our sweet Turbo for about 14 yrs before he was in so much pain that we (I), had to put him down. My Husband was walking the parking lot crying. We all have to do what is the best for them & us but I could never let a Turbo go alone. He died peacefully snuggled up to my neck. He was our 9 lb baby Dauschaund & talk about personality. I can imagine what you are going through. It's been about 3 yrs & I still miss him everyday. The Poodle I loved so much as a little girl was named, Carmel. She was white w/apricot coloring. I will be keeping You & General Patton in my prayers. I'm always here to listen & care. Please give that sweet boy a hug for me!
