monikermoniker The bag has no particular smell, IMO. It has been in a smoke free home. No shoulder strap. It did not come with when I purchase it.

monikermoniker Yes the bag comes from a smoke free home. I could not locate a date code. But I have updated a close-up shot of the leather tab sewn onto the outside of the interior zipper pocket for your reference.
