*Description: This zig zag Christmas Tree Brooch by Monet was one of their modernist designs with rhinestones on gold plated metal. This particular design has rhinestones in green, red, and clear and is stamped MONET in script with the copyright symbol. The same design in clear rhinestones in a larger size is featured in Christmas Tree Pins by Nancy Yunker Trowbridge on page 111. In 1937, two brothers, Jay and Michael Chernow, began their own jewelry company in New York.
