It launched in July 2009 under the name オトナ＊ラボ｜女子高生未来応援プロジェクト—essentially a “future‐support project for high school girls.” ameblo.jp On March 1, 2011, the initiative was rebranded as JOL PROJECT (ジョルプロジェクト). This transformation allowed participants—who began as high-schoolers—to continue activities even after graduation, with the goal of supporting them in college, job hunting, and self-promotion opportunities.
