Studio-made modernist sterling silver stick pin, dating from the 1980s–1990s. Geometric layered construction in sterling silver featuring warm, torch-developed brass-toned highlights created naturally during hand-soldering. Domed amethyst cabochon (5.8 mm with bezel) set in a hand-formed sterling bezel; secondary maker’s hallmark and © appear on the reverse of the bezel cup. Primary hallmark reads as a stylized monogram (appears as 'AV' or 'WA'), followed by © and STERLING. From my personal jewelry box. From a smoke-free, pet-free home.
