MoMA Kangol Bermuda Bucket Hat

Special edition of the iconic bucket hats feature the MoMA logo. Bucket hats have existed since the 1900s, as utilitarian headgear, but it wasn’t until the 1970s that the style became a pop culture icon. Introduced by Kangol, a hat brand founded in 1938, the style of the bucket hat – the Bermuda casual – was quickly adopted by New York City burgeoning hip-hop scene in the 1980s and today it remains a pop culture classic.
