She uses her hair and body to separate day and night, prolonging her time on Earth. This piece is part of a triptych that also includes "Ghost Horse" and "BloodSprite". “Gloaming” is a word on the cusp of becoming archaic - it means the brief half-light between dawn and morning, twilight and night.
