Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children follows Jacob, a normal boy who discovers the truth behind his grandfather's fantastical stories by traveling to a mysterious island off the coast of Wales. There, he finds a house and a time loop occupied by children with special abilities, or "peculiarities," who are protected by Miss Peregrine but are also threatened by Hollows and Wights. Jacob must embrace his own latent peculiarity to help these children escape their enemies and discover a way to save Miss Peregrine.
