Midnight Blue 1980s Iridescent taffeta strapless cocktail dress encompasses the wearers body like a blooming flower. The dress is built around a boned corset-like bodice and fits like a current size 2-4 with ruched midriff , full gathered skirt and deep ruffle encompassing the bodice like an exotic flower. This is called a crumb catcher bodice. Dress has attached black tulle petticoat, and bodice is boned. Dress zips up the back with a hook and eye fastening at the top. The structured and boned fitted bodice underneath the ruching and the bust ruffle fits like a supportive corset around the body. Gorgeous Party Dress ! This Dress is Vintage from the 1980s. Has no Labels or Size Tags. Fits Like XS - Size 2-4 It is very likely a Victor Costa design as I had one exactly like it 3 yrs ago that was by VC Dress is gorgeous on! Measurements taken flat then doubled: Pit to pit 16" x 2 = 32" bust circumference Waist is 13" x 2 = 26" waist circumference. Length of dress top to bottom id 36.5" Total. Bodice is 15" & Skirt is 21.5" Dress is in excellent condition. Ready to wear, No issues. Absolutely lovely. Reminds me of Isabella Rossellini in the 1980s when she modeled for Lancome . A beautiful representation of 1980s Glamor !
