Vintage Middle Eastern Moroccan Moorish Inlaid Wooden Trinket Jewelry Box Side Hinge Opening. This is a beautiful inlaid box lined with red velvet lining. There may be mother of pearl pieces but I can’t tell. The process involves meticulously selecting and preparing the wood, precisely cutting and shaping the inlay materials, and then arranging and gluing the pieces to create intricate designs. These boxes were traditionally used to store jewelry, letters, or other precious items and were popular souvenirs for travelers to the Middle East. Due to its vintage age there are a few pieces of wood or other material missing. I’ve taken numerous pictures so please view all as they are part of the description.
