Mid 1900s Set of (2) Handmade Hand-Painted Toy Doll Parfleche Trunks Trinket Boxes. Lakota Sioux Indian Native American Parfleche Art. Hand-painted (green, blue, yellow, pink) and tied closed with Sinew Hide String and trimmed with blue cloth on each edge. Bought from a dealer named Frontier Plunder in Utah in 2006. Measurements: 2.5" x 2.5" x 4" Condition: These trunks are in great condition. They show some very minor wear and discoloration due to age. The painting is still very vibrant. This item comes from my family's collection. My in-laws were lifelong dealers/collectors of Native American artifacts. Most recently, they owned & operated an antique store in Goldsboro, NC called Towns Antiques. They purchased many of their items from collectors/dealers and auctions in the Northeast (Western PA and NY), Utah, and Nevada
