The Michelin Man, also known as Bibendum, is the mascot for the Michelin tire company. He's a three-dimensional figure made of stacked white tires, and is one of the world's oldest brand mascots. The Michelin brothers, Edouard and André, first noticed the resemblance of a man in a pile of tires at the 1894 Lyon Universal Exposition. They hired French cartoonist Marius Rossillon, also known as O'Galop, to create the character.
