The discoloration is from me rubbing the spots with a baby wipe. You can only see the spots with the flash, it is not visible at first glance. This item is HAND wash only, so I have not thoroughly washed it. I believe those spots will be gone after a wash! There are no smells to the sweater. Smoke free, pet free!
