Vibrant hand-painted Mexican pottery vase featuring a cheerful yellow bird amid cobalt-blue berries and scrolling foliage. The form and palette reflect the Talavera tradition—tin-glazed earthenware perfected in Puebla after Spanish artisans introduced majolica techniques in the 16th century and blended them with Indigenous design. This signed example (artist’s monogram with “Mexico”) dates to circa 1990s and was acquired in Mexico, likely from the Puebla/Tonalá artisan markets. Soft cobalt bands, speckled ring decoration, and painterly brushwork give it a fresh, hacienda-style presence for boho, Mediterranean, or eclectic interiors. Dimensions: 13 x 7 in; mouth approx. 2.25 in. Decorative use recommended.
Condition: No chips, cracks, or repairs; minor glaze pinholes and hand-made irregularities typical of studio Talavera. Please inspect all the photos carefully prior to purchase to ensure item meets expectations. Thank you!**
