Mexican Red Clay Pottery SUN round dish lidded hand painted trinket box jewelry

Mexican red clay pottery, handmade and hand-painted!! Trinket or jewelry box, round-shaped, with a lid. A friend got this in Mexico, but that is all the history I am aware of. The lid is the SUN, and the sides have different people or things featured! Stands 2 1/2" tall.  The lid is 4" at the widest point across. The bottom is 3 1/4" in diameter.
